Rapid Response Call - Charlie Hebdo and its aftermath

The recent terrorist attacks in Paris and their aftermath have prompted extensive commentary and discourse among politicians, journalists, activists and publics. This ongoing affair is of importance for sociology and, conversely, contextualised sociological discussion of its various implications can and should form part of the public discourse surrounding them. Sociological Research Online therefore invites short articles of no more than 3000 words focused upon the sociological implications of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, the ongoing public and political response and the broader social issues and questions that underlie these.
