Valeria Lo Iacono

Valeria Lo Iacono is a PhD candidate in Dance and Cultural Heritage Studies at the Cardiff School of Sport, Cardiff Metropolitan University. Valeria graduated in Preservation of Cultural Heritage from Università degli Studi della Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy and has a master in Tourism Management and Economics from Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Italy. Valeria has been interested in dance all her life and has been a practitioner in Egyptian raqs sharqi for the last 14 years. Her research interests include cultural heritage studies, intangible heritage, dance ethnology and qualitative and online research methods.

Paul Symonds

Paul Symonds is a PhD candidate studying Wayfinding as an Embodied Experience at the Cardiff School of Sport, Cardiff Metropolitan University. Paul has a degree in Tourism Management and a Masters Degree in Management Information Systems. Apart from wayfinding, Paul’s research interests are embodiment, environmental psychology, qualitative and online research methods.

David H.K. Brown

David Brown is a Reader in the Sociology of Sport and Physical Culture at the Cardiff School of Sport, Cardiff Metropolitan University. David’s current research interests concern the development of interpretive socio-cultural under-standings of the changing body-self-society complex in the fields of sport and physical culture.
