Dorien Brosens holds a Master Degree in Adult Educational Sciences (2011). Since October 2011, she is a PhD student at the department of Educational Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and is preparing a doctoral thesis on participation of prisoners in correctional programmes.

Sarah Dury

Sarah Dury is a post-doc follow and has just finished her PhD on volunteering among older people. Her dissertation seeks to contribute to a broader conceptual framework including multidimensional factors that impact upon the decisions of older adults whether to volunteer or not.

Dominique Verté

Dominique Verté is Professor at the department of Educational Sciences and is head of the Belgian Ageing Studies research group. This project is a result of a close collaboration between different partners. Through a participatory method, older people are actively involved during all stages of the study.
