Biographical Note

Robert Moore is Eleanor Rathbone Professor of Sociology in the University of Liverpool, he was formerly Professor of Sociology in the University of Aberdeen. He is currently researching 'race' and deprivation in the inner city, and urban regeneration policies having recently completed a study of 'positive action' in a government department on Merseyside. He is currently writing a history of the Third European Poverty Programme in Liverpool .
