Dr Laura Hyman is Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Portsmouth. She is co-convenor of the British Sociological Association’s Happiness Study Group, and her research interests include happiness and well-being, emotions, subjectivity, gender, social theory and qualitative and quantitative research methods.
