Lydia Lewis

Lydia Lewis is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Developmental and Applied Research in Education at the University of Wolverhampton. Her research focuses on applied, policy-oriented qualitative inquiry in the areas of mental health and education. She is currently involved in a large programme of research about creative practice, mutuality and mental health and well-being, funded by the AHRC-led Connected Communities Programme - see www.wlv.ac.uk/connectedcommunities. Previous posts include Research Fellow in the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, Knowledge Exchange Post Doctoral Fellow, Department of Sociology, University of Leicester, Lecturer in Education Studies (Sociology and Inclusion), Bath Spa University, and ESRC/MRC Post Doctoral Fellow, Department of Sociology, University of Warwick. Lydia has developed a wide programme of knowledge exchange work through the British Sociological Association Sociology of Mental Health Study Group, which she founded and co-convenes - see http://www.britsoc.co.uk/medsoc/MedSocMentalHealth.aspx.
