Paula Devine

Paula Devine is Deputy Director of ARK, based in the School of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work in Queen’s University Belfast. She is the coordinator of the Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey, which records the public attitudes in Northern Ireland to key social issues. She is also involved in the monitoring of attitudes of younger people via the Young Life and Times Survey of 16 year olds, and the Kids’ Life and Times Survey of 10/11 year olds.

Gillian Robinson

Gillian Robinson is Professor of Social Research and Director of ARK (www.ark.ac.uk ) at the University of Ulster. Based in INCORE (International Conflict Research Institute), Gillian worked with colleagues to establish ARK as a cross-university resource (with Queen’s University Belfast) providing access to social and political information on Northern Ireland in 2000. She has been involved in the monitoring of social attitudes in Northern Ireland since 1989 and co-directs the Northern Ireland Life and Times survey.
