Hilary Thomas

Hilary Thomas is Professor of Health Care Research at the University of Hertfordshire. She is a previous convenor of the British Sociological Association Medical Sociology Group and President of the European Society for Health and Medical Sociology. Her research interests include: the sociology of reproduction, especially women's experiences of major illness during pregnancy; patients' experiences of recovery from illness; and qualitative and mixed methods methodology.
