Sumi Hollingworth and Ayo Mansaray

Sumi Hollingworth

Sumi Hollingworth is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in Education (IPSE) at London Metropolitan University. She is a sociologist with research interests in education and social inequality, urban schooling, social class, youth and new media. She has co-authored a book with Louise Archer and Heather Mendick (2010 - Open University Press) on Urban Youth and Schooling, and is currently undertaking doctoral research on urban young people and social mixing.

Ayo Mansaray

Dr. Ayo Mansaray is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in Education (IPSE) at London Metropolitan University. His doctoral research was an ethnographic exploration of the positions, roles, and identities of teaching assistants within two multi-ethnic primary schools in the gentrified inner-city. His wider research interests include; urban sociology and the spatialised aspects of social inequalities - of "race", gender, ethnicity and class - and social transformations, namely gentrification.
