Sarah Smart is currently in the third year of her ESRC-funded PhD at the University of Reading for which she is undertaking a qualitative study of secondary school pupils' constructions of social justice. Sarah previously spent four years working at the Institute of Policy Studies in Education (London Metropolitan University) where she contributed to a variety of both quantitative and qualitative research projects with a focus on equalities issues in education.
