Phillip Mizen

Phil Mizen teaches in the Sociology Department at the University of Warwick. He has researched and written extensively on young people and children, with a particular interest in issues of work, labour and policy. With Yaw Ofosu-Kusi, he is currently working on a British Academy funded project examining children's life and labour in a large informal settlement in Accra, Ghana.

Carol Wolkowitz

Carol Wolkowitz is a Reader in the Department of Sociology, University of Warwick. She is the author of Bodies at Work (Sage 2006) and other publications on the body and embodiment in the workplace, including editing, with others, Body Work in Health and Social Care (Wiley-Blackwell 2011). She teaches undergraduate modules on Sexuality and, with Phil Mizen, Visual Sociology, and a postgraduate module on Sex, Gender and Power at Work. She is currently researching the representation of student demonstrations in press photography in the 1970s.
