Kate Weiner
Kate Weiner is a research fellow at the University of Manchester, working as an advisor on the NIHR North West Research Design Service. Her research interests lie at the intersection of medical sociology and science and technology studies, focusing on the themes of lay and professional knowledge, lay-expert relations, user-technology relations, and health identities and responsibilities. She has undertaken research in the areas of genetics, heart disease, patients' organisations, and most recently, functional foods.
