William Housley

William Housley is currently Reader in Sociology at the Cardiff School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University. He has published widely in a range of journals and is author of Interaction in Multidisciplinary Teams (Ashgate, 2003) co-author (with Paul Atkinson) of Interactionism: An Essay In Sociological Amnesia (Sage, 2003) and (with Paul Atkinson and Sara Delamont) Contours of Culture: Complex Ethnography and the Ethnography of Complexity (Alta Mira Press, 2008). He has a strong interest in research methods, ethnography and qualitative analysis as applied to matters relating to social identity, political communication, human rights, identity politics, culture, morality, institutions and the law.

Robin James Smith

Dr. Robin James Smith is a researcher with WISERD based in the Cardiff University School of Social Science where he completed a BSc/Econ, MSc, and PhD. His doctoral thesis comprised a qualitative analysis of Cardiff Bay and his current ethnographic research is with a number of 'urban patrols'. He has a sustained interest in urban sociology, social theory, and the study of everyday life.
