Frank Bechhofer
Frank Bechhofer is a Research Fellow in the Institute of Governance at the University of Edinburgh and Professor Emeritus of Social Research. Until his retirement, he was Director of the Research Centre for Social Sciences. For the last fifteen years, his research interests, in collaboration mainly with David McCrone, have been focussed around studies of nationalism, and especially national identity in Scotland and England in the context of constitutional change.

David McCrone
David McCrone is co-director of the Institute of Governance at the University of Edinburgh, and Professor of Sociology. He coordinated the research programme on National Identity and Constitutional Change funded by The Leverhulme Trust from 1999 to 2006. With Frank Bechhofer, he edited 'National Identity, Nationalism and Constitutional Change' (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009).
