Gurminder K. Bhambra

Gurminder K Bhambra is Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Warwick. She is author of Rethinking Modernity: Postcolonialism and the Sociological Imagination (2007) which won the British Sociological Association's Philip Abrams Memorial Prize for best first book in Sociology in 2008. She is also co-editor of two volumes: Silencing Human Rights: Critical Engagements with a Contested Project (2009, with Dr Shilliam) and 1968 in Retrospect: Theory, History, Alterity (2009, with Dr Demir).
