Andrew Smith

Dr. Andrew Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at the University of East London. He was previously employed as a Research Assistant at Glasgow Caledonian University on the ESRC-funded 'Organisation Carescapes' project. Andrew was awarded a PhD from Durham University in 2007, which critically examined the complexities of organisational culture change in the largest Public-Private Partnership in the Civil Service.

Linda McKie

Professor Linda McKie is a Research Professor in Sociology at Glasgow Caledonian University and an Associate Director at the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships. Her current research includes the ESRC-funded 'Organisation Carescapes' project, and work on gender and violence. Linda's recent publications include: 'Families, Violence and Social Change' (Open University Press, 2005), 'Families in Society: Boundaries and Relationships' (edited with Sarah Cunningham-Burley, Policy Press, 2005), and 'Interdependency and Care over the Lifecourse' (with Sophie Bowlby, Sue Gregory and Isobel MacPherson, Routledge, forthcoming).
