John D. Bone

John Bone is a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Aberdeen. His research interests are in global political economy, social change and social theory. His work involves applying a developing theoretical model - fusing sociological theory with new understandings of the individual emerging from the cognitive science revolution - to explore various ways in which the contemporary trajectory of global development and neo-liberal economic policy is affecting individuals and communities in terms of identities, working lives, well-being, social polarisation and social cohesion.
