Elizabeth B. Silva

Elizabeth B. Silva is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the Open University. Her current research foci are on 'cultural capital and social exclusion' (in particular on personal interdependencies of cultural consumption in households) and 'technology and personal lives' (engaging with gender, family practices and the material as everyday concerns). Her work has involved the integration of a variety of research methods and it has been strongly informed by cross-national and cross cultural comparisons.
