Elizabeth Stokoe

Elizabeth Stokoe is a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University. She has written numerous papers about educational interaction, and gender and interaction. She is currently working with Derek Edwards on an ESRC-funded study of neighbour disputes and complaints. She has edited a special issue of 'Discourse & Society' (2002, with Ann Weatherall) on the topic of gender, ethnomethodology and conversation analysis and is currently writing two books on the same topic ('Analyzing gender and interaction', Sage; 'Conversation and Gender', Cambridge University Press, with Susan Speer). She is also the author of 'Discourse and Identity' (2006, Edinburgh University Press, with Bethan Benwell).
