Dr. Anne Gray has been a Senior Research Fellow in the Families and Social Capital Group since 2002, working on time use, childcare, and mutual aid between households. Her previous work concerned European labour market and social security policies. She has published in the Journal of Social Policy (2001, 2005), Work, Employment and Society (2002), European Societies (2002) and is author of Unsocial Europe, Social Protection or Flexploitation? (Pluto Books 2005). She holds a B.A. in Economics (Cambridge University, 1966) and a Ph.D. in Sociology (Edinburgh University, 1974; The Working Class Family as an Economic Unit).
