John Scott

John Scott is Professor of Sociology at the University of Essex. He works on social stratification, social network analysis, and social theory, and his most recent books include Power (Polity, 2001), Social Structure (with Jose Lopez, Open University Press, 2000), Sociology (with James Fulcher, Second Edition, Oxford University Press, 2003), Rethinking Class: Culture, Identities, and Lifestyle (editor with R. Crompton, F. Devine, M. Savage, London, Macmillan, 2004), and Social Theory: Central Issues in Sociology (Sage, in press).
