Elaine Moriarity

Elaine Moriarity

Elaine Moriarty has a B.Soc.Sc. from UCC, an MPhil in Ethnic and Racial Studies from Trinity College and is currently reading for a PhD in the Department of Sociology, Trinity College. Elaine's PhD research aims to critically explore the processes involved in the production of discourses and representations of Irishness and Otherness articulated by intellectuals in relation to Ireland's changing cultural makeup. Elaine teaches the Research and Methodology module of the MPhil in Ethnic and Racial Studies as well as the Introduction to Theories of 'Race' and Ethnicity Evening Course in Trinity College. Elaine previously worked for Comhlámh, Development Workers in Global Solidarity and served as director of AFrI (Action From Ireland) amongst other NGOs.
