Joanne Massey

Joanne Massey is a full-time lecturer in Criminology/Cultural Criminology and PhD student in the Sociology department at Manchester Metropolitan University. Joanne's PhD thesis 'Public Space and the Rebuilding of Manchester' focuses on the regeneration of an area in central Manchester (now known as the Millennium Quarter) after the 1996 IRA bombing. Her current research interests are public space, urban regeneration, gentrification, popular culture and urban studies.
