Biographical Note

Jennifer Platt is Professor of Sociology, and Director of the Graduate Research Centre in the Social Sciences, at the University of Sussex. She has worked on the history of research methods in US sociology for some years, and is the author of A History of US Sociological Research Methods 1920-1960. Her current work is on intellectual migration, and on the histories of the British Sociological Association and the International Sociological Association.
